FAQs
What is permanent jewellery?
A momento; a memory. Be bonded with a delicate solid gold chain permanently and expertly joined by our trained technicians. The finest of solid gold means it will look forever new, and won't fade. Micro-welded to create an infinite look, this is the absolute essential minimalists treasure.
What is the cost of it?
We only charge for our chains, charms and materials all of which you can choose during your appointment. There's no extra fees or booking/service charges. Chain prices vary, visit our Bonded™ Chain Range page for full pricing and styles.
What is the metal that you use?
We only use solid 9k gold for our core Bonded™ chain range. Solid gold can forever be repaired, melted down and recast or remodelled. There is also no base metal causing discolouration over time. You can fake tan in solid gold, wear it in the ocean, and then eventually pass it down for generations to come.
If you are seeking a higher purity gold (18k) we can specially make and order 18k Gold Chain in for you. Just contact us to make an arrangement for a special order.
How long does an appointment take?
Each appointment is precious but fast, taking no longer than fifteen minutes per person, per bracelet.
I want to do this with friends, can we come in together?
Absolutely! We encourage it! Share the memories by booking multiple time slots (15minutes per person) or a group booking appointment.
What if it breaks?
We offer fast, complimentary repairs for small chain breakages.
If you lose your chain, or your chain requires additional chain length / links/ service time, there may be repair or replacement fees. Please look at our repair booking page for more info.
Can I travel in it? Will it set off metal detectors?
Permanent jewellery isn't a new thing, and tens-of-thousands of people around the world have travelled safely in their permanent jewellery. Because we use solid gold, you're not going to set off any security alarms.
Does it hurt?
Absolutely not!
Even though permanent jewellery has been nicknamed 'jewellery tattoo', it is an entirely non invasive experience. The chain is the only thing under heat, so you can chill knowing that this is a totally pain free experience (except for the pain of indecision of choosing your chain!).
What if i want to, or need to, remove it?
If you're wanting to momentarily remove it for an event or surgery you can cut the chain with nail clippers or scissors. If you'd like it bonded again in the future you can make a 'repair' booking and we can bond it again for you.
If you would like to remove it at home, you can simply cut the chain with scissors! Easy!
Our technician can also add a clasp should you ever decide you would like it to be removable for day-to-day wear.
